Help stop runnoff into bodies of water
If your property is right next to a river or lake plant shrubs and other plants a long the edge of the water inorder to create a riparian buffer. A riparian buffer or stream buffer is a vegetated area (a "buffer strip") near a stream, usually forested, which helps shade and protect the stream from the impact of adjacent land uses such as runoff. This includes runoff from fertilized areas that would normally get into our bodies of water causeing algea blooms and autrophication aswell as other chemicals toxic tothe enviroment.
